We’re going Pink this month to support the Family Health Partnership Clinic’s Breast Cancer Fund of McHenry County!
Family Health Partnership Clinic has been providing health care to the uninsured men and women of McHenry County since 1996. The Clinic is funded through private grants, foundations and community fundraising. Until the Clinic opened, there was no place in the county for people without health insurance except for the emergency room.
Supporting this cause is important to us, and has special significance to our team. Keep reading to hear some employee testimonials!
What This Month Means to Us
Many of us have personal stories or loved ones who have battled with breast cancer. These are our mothers, grandmothers, and sisters who will always mean the world to us. We’re proud to share our voices and stories to help bring awareness to this important cause.
Karen’s Story
“I am a 20+ year bc survivor and was fortunate to have insurance cover nearly 100% of everything, so this organization that helps the uninsured is very much worth supporting. Prevention and early detection are so important. I appreciate what you all are doing to raise awareness.”

Meg and Her Grandma
“My grandmother [my mom’s mom] passed away at just 61 years old from breast cancer. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer when she was in her 40s. She was cancer-free for over 10 years before it came back and metastasized 11 years later. I was in first grade when she died, but I will always remember her as a very loving grandma.”
